Indian Institute of Crafts & Design (IICD), Jaipur; affiliated to Rajasthan Skill ILD University (RISU) has invited applications for admission to the Bachelor and Master degrees programmes for 2021-22, in various areas of design.
These programmes are in alignment with the National Skills Qualification Frameworks (NSQF). Under NSQF, the learner can acquire the certification for competency needed at any level. The certification levels of UG programmes are in order of-Diploma after completion of one year, Advanced Diploma after two years, B.Voc. after three years and B.Des. after four years. IICD also facilitates 3 years M.Voc. programmes for the candidates from non- design background along with 2 years M.Des. programmes for design graduates.
The Programmes are (i) 4 years (including 1 year Foundation) Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) (ii) 2 years Master of Design (M.Des.) and (iii) 3 years (including 1 year Foundation) Master of Vocation ( M.Voc.) (for non- design graduates). Specializations for Bachelor and Master programmes are in: Soft Material Design, Hard Material Design, Fired Material Design, Fashion Clothing Design, Crafts Communication and Jewellery Design.
Eligibility: For admission to B.Des, applicant should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board of education. Those appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.
For admission to M.Des., applicant should be a Graduates from Design and Architecture background (B.Des. & B. Arch.)
For admission to M.Voc.; Graduates from non-design background are eligible.
Selection/ Assignment of Discipline: Applicant has to opt for the specialisation while filling up the personal and other details in the online registration form, prior to entrance test. The selection of the students for the specialisation will be on the basis of his/her performance in the foundation semesters and the aptitude shown.
Entrance test will be conducted online in three parts with Question Paper in Part A (30% weightage); Portfolio Submission in Part B (50%) and Personal Interview (20%) in Part C. Details are given at www.iicd.ac.in and in the Prospectus that can be downloaded from the website.
