Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications for the Engineering Services Examination, 2021.
Recruitment on the results of this examination will be made to the Services/ Posts under the following categories: Category I‐Civil Engineering; Category II‐Mechanical Engineering; Category III‐Electrical Engineering and Category IV‐Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. The number of vacancies to be filled on the results of the examination is expected to be approximately 215.
Applicant must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st January, 2021 (must have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1991 and not later than 1st January, 2000). Upper age-limit will be relaxable for certain categories.
Educational Qualifications:
Applicant should have obtained a degree in Engineering or passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India) or obtained a Degree/Diploma in Engineering from such foreign University/College/Institution and under such conditions as may be recognised by the Government for the purpose from time to time or passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India) or passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India or passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November, 1959. Those who have appeared/are appearing for the qualifying examination can apply provisionally.
Applicant must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Engineering Services Examination, 2021.
Selection will be a three stage process. Preliminary/Stage‐I Examination will be held on 18th July, 2021. Stage‐II will be the Engineering Services (Main/Stage‐II) Examination (Conventional Type Papers) and Stage‐III, the Personality Test. Application: Application can be submitted online at https://www.upsconline.nic.in latest by 1800 hours on 27 April 2021.
Application Fee: Application fee is excepted for Female/SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability categories. Other are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using any Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card.
