Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, has invited applications for admission to the TV Industry Oriented, ‘Course on Writing for Television Fiction’.

The Programme has been envisaged in view of the lack of qualified writers for TV. FTII plans to plug the gap with this 24 week intensive course on Writing for Television Fiction.

The course covers fundamentals of TV Screen writing that includes non-fiction too. This will enable one to venture into all kinds of writing that interests him/her. The programme will be writing-intensive, with constant hand holding and mentorship of leading TV Screen Writers. Students will come away not only with the knowledge of episodic writing, but also with two full ‘bibles’ for two TV programmes, in two different genres, ready to be pitched to broadcasters.

The Programme will be held between 11.02.2019 to 26.07.2019 as a full time course with sessions from Monday to Friday. However, alternate Saturdays may be working.

Eligibility: Applicant should hold a degree of UGC recognized University or equivalent in any field. Experience of writing a blog, copy-writing for advertisements or scripts for film, TV or web are desirable.

Applicants have to pay and Administrative Fee of Rs.500/- by way a Demand Draft in favour of ‘Accounts Officer, FTII’ payable at Pune.

This filled-in form along with DD, should reach ‘In-Charge, Department of Short Courses, Film and Television Institute of India, Law College Road, Pune - 411 004’ latest by 15th November, 2018.

Interview will be held on 3.1.2019 & 4.1.2019

Fees for the course is Rs. 1,50,700/, including GST & Security Deposit. Security Deposit of Rs. 15,000/- is refundable.

There are 15 seats for the Programme.

Selection is based on application and Statement of Purpose (SOP ) followed by Interview.

Accommodation will be provided on twin & triple sharing basis on payment, if available
