Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune under its Skilling India in Film & Television (SKIFT) initiative has announced 2 Courses on ‘Appreciation of song Picturisation in Indian Cinema’
The first one being conducted in association with Somaiya Vidyavihar, Mumbai will be held on 29th & 30th September, 2018 at Somaiya Vidyavihar, Vidyavihar, Mumbai.
The second to be conducted by FTII is scheduled on 6th & 7th October, 2018 at FTII, Pune.
The aim of the 2-day workshop is to take the participant through the magical travelogue from the coming of sound in Indian cinema to its golden age in the 1950s to present day trends. The workshop would also highlight the invaluable contribution of great composers, lyricists, singers, choreographers and filmmakers who were all able to combine together and take song picturisation to an art form.

The course will be held from 10 am to 6 pm with one hour lunch break from 1 to 2 pm. A total of 100 persons would be admitted. However, course will not be conducted if there are less than 80 participants. Medium of Instructions will be English & Hindi.
Eligibility: Participant must be an Indian and must have attained 18 years of age as on 01.09.2018 (for Mumbai Programme) and as on 01.10.2018 (for Pune Programme).
Fee for the course: Fee for each course is Rs 1,000/- to be paid by way of a Demand Draft to be drawn in favour of ‘Accounts Officer, Film & Television Institute of India, Pune’, payable at Pune.

The form has to be submitted in person or by speed post in an envelope super-scribed at the top left, ‘Application for Course on Appreciation of Song Picturisation in Indian Cinema’.
Selection: Selection will be on First-come-first-served basis. Selected candidates would be communicated by email/ phone. Course fees of the selected candidates will be non-refundable. Demand Drafts of all non-selected candidates would be returned within 4 days of the commencement of the course.
Certificates: On successful completion of the course, participants would be given participation certificates subject to 90% attendance.
