B.Sc. Nursing programme and B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic) at PGIMER Chandigarh
National Institute of Nursing Education (NINE), Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh; has invited applications for admission to the 4 years B.Sc. Nursing programme (only for female candidates) and 2 years B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic) programme (Co-education).
Eligibility: B.Sc. Nursing- Applicant should have passed 10+2/equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Those appearing in the 10+2 examination in April-May, 2021 can also apply for the course. Applicant should not be more than 25 years and not less than 17 years on 1st September 2021 (those born after 1st September 2004 and before 1st September 1996 are not eligible).
For B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic) applicant must have (i) passed 10+2/ equivalent examination (ii) passed General Nursing and Midwifery with 50% aggregate (iii) must be Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife qualified from a recognized Institute & registered with respective State Nursing Council or substitute registration in case of male candidates fully qualified for nursing of men, women and children. Applicant should not be more than 45 years of age as of 1st September 2021 (those born before 1st September 1976 are not eligible). Age relaxation as per rules will be applicable to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and other reserved categories.
Selection: Selection will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) to be held from 9 am 10.30 am on 31.07.2021 (Saturday) at Ambala (Haryana); Amritsar (Punjab); Bathinda (Punjab); Chandigarh (Tricity); Delhi (NCR); Hamirpur (HP); Jalandhar (Punjab); Jammu (J & K); Jodhpur (Rajasthan) and Ludhiana (Punjab). Questions will be Objective Type. The test for B.Sc Nursing will have 25 questions from each of Chemistry, Physics, Biology, 15 questions from English and 10 questions from General Knowledge/Current affairs. Thesyllabi will be of Ten Plus One & Plus Two standard.
For the B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) Test, questions will be from (i) Scientific Principles Applied in Nursing Practice & Trends in Nsg. (10 questions) (ii) Medical-Surgical Nursing (including Anatomy and Physiology) (20) (iii) Child Health Nursing (iv) Community Health Nursing including Nutrition (v) Obstetric Nursing and Midwifery (vi) Mental Health Nursing and (vii) General Knowledge. Thesyllabi will be of Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery Standard.
Candidates of the General category have to secure the 50th percentile score and SC/ST/OBC & PwBD applicants the 45th percentile score to qualify in the CBT.

Application Fee for SC/ST Category is Rs.1200/- and for all other categories, it is Rs.1500/-. The fees can be paid online by 24.06.2021. PwBD applicants need not pay the application fee.
The result of the Entrance Test is expected to be declared by 09.08.2021. The last date of submission of the qualifying 10+2 certificate and marks sheet will be 12.08.2021.
