B.Sc Nursing and Paramedical admissions at AIIMS: Basic registration till January 16
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has invited applications for the Entrance Examinations leading to admission in B.Sc (Honours) Nursing/B.Sc Nursing (Post-Basic)/B.Sc(Paramedical Courses)-2020 of AIIMS, New Delhi and other AIIMS.
Eligibility: B.Sc (H) Nursing: Applicant should have passed the 12th Class under the 10+2 scheme/Senior School Certificate Examination or Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination from a recognized University/Board of any Indian State with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, securing at least 55% marks for Gen/EWS/OBC and 50% in case of SC/ST categories.
B.Sc (Paramedical Courses): Applicant should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and either Biology or Mathematics with 50% for Gen/ EWS/OBC and 45% in case of SCs/ STs Categories.
B.Sc Nursing (Post-Basic): Applicant should have (i) Passed 12th class under 10+2 system of education or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University (Those who have passed 10+1 on or before 1986 are also eligible) (ii) Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from any institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (iii) Registration as Nurse, RN (Registered Nurse), RM (Registered Midwife) with any State Nursing Council. In case of male nurses, (if passed before implementation of new integrated course in 2003), beside being registered as a nurse with the State Nursing Council, they should have obtained a certificate in General Nursing and instead of Training in Midwifery, training in any subject out of following, for a period of six months: O.T. Techniques, Ophthalmic Nursing, Leprosy Nursing, TB Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Neurological and Neuro Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Cancer Nursing, Orthopaedic Nursing.
Registration: As per the Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR) scheme, those interested in admissions for 2020 have to go through the two stage application process, the Basic Registration followed by Generation of Code and Final Registration.
Basic Registration (PAAR) for these courses can be done during 12 December 2019 to 5 pm on 16 January 2020. The status update (Accepted & Not Accepted) of Basic Registration will be announced on 20 January 2020.
Correction of deficiencies in Basic Registration that are not accepted can be done during 21 January 2020 - 30 January 2020. Final status (Accepted & Rejected) of Basic Registration will be notified on 4 February 2020.
Prospectus will be uploaded at the website on 12 March 2020.
Those whose Basic Registration is accepted, can generate the Code for Final Registration and then pay the application fee, select the centre for the Entrance Examinations from 14 March 2020 till 5 pm on 15 April 2020.
Final Status of B.Sc (H) Nursing application & Rejected application with reason for rejection will be announced on 22 April 2020. Final Status of B.Sc Nursing (Post Basic) and B.Sc (Paramedical Courses) application and rejected application with reason for rejection will be notified on 24 April 2020.
Last date for submission of required documents for regularization of rejected Application will be 5 pm on 4 May 2020.
Entrance Tests: Selection to the programmes are based on different entrance examinations, to be held as per the following schedule: B.Sc Nursing (Post-Basic): 6th June, 2020 (10 -11.30 am); B.Sc (Paramedical courses): 20th June, 2020 (10 - 11.30 am); B.Sc(H) Nursing: 28th June, 2020 (10 – 12 noon).
Admit Cards of B.Sc(H) Nursing Entrance Examination will be hosted on AIIMS website on 13 May 2020 (Tentative) and that of B.Sc Nursing (Post-Basic)/ B.Sc(Paramedical courses) on 15 May 2020 (Tentative).
Those who have applied earlier and whose Basic Registration have been accepted for 2019 session are also eligible for Generation of code for Final Registration. They are not required to fill the Basic Registration again.
