Advance Diploma in Radiotherapy Technology at Tata Memorial Centre
Tata Memorial Centre, a grant in aid institution of Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, Tata Memorial Hospital, Dr. E Borges Road, Parel, Mumbai-400 012, has invited applications for admission to the Two Years ‘Advance Diploma in Radiotherapy Technology’, to be conducted during the academic year 2019, at the Hospital, commencing in July 2019.
The Course is recognized by Govt. of Maharashtra under Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education-MSBTE.
This is a comprehensive course with full-time schedule of lectures, demonstrations, practical and clinical experience in the delivery of Radiation therapy. The course is designed to develop personnel to use modern Radiotherapy equipments like Cobalt Units, Linear Accelerators, Simulators, Brachytherapy systems and Mould-room facilities in cancer treatment.
Eligibility: Applicants should have passed B.Sc. with 50% marks aggregate with not less than 55% marks in Physics. Those awaiting results of B.Sc can also apply, subject to
submission of their B.Sc results on the day of CET / Interview.
Age Limit: Applicant should be between 20 and 25 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC / ST and by 3 years for OBC candidates.
Selection Criteria: Selection will be based on marks obtained in entrance examination that will have questions from Physics, Chemistry & Biology based on syllabus of HSC and performance in the interview.
Duration: Course duration is 2 years with an additional year for mandatory Internship. The degree will be awarded only after successful completion of the Internship.
Annual College tuition fee will be charged Rs. 14, 000/- per year. Non-Sponsored candidates will be paid a Stipend Rs.11,000/-p.m during the training. Candidate will be required to serve the Tata Memorial Centre for a period of 1 year on remuneration @ Rs. 18,000/-p.m. after successful completion of the training.
National candidate sponsored from Cancer Centres / Hospitals for training will not be paid any stipend nor undergo internship.
Selected candidates from outside Mumbai may be provided hostel accommodation, if available on payment. The same candidates will be allowed to avail cafeteria facility, the charges of which will be paid by the candidate as applicable. They are required to keep refundable deposit Rs.3000/- for diet in addition Library Deposit of Rs.1000/- applicable to all the candidates.
Candidates who are found to be consistently performing below established standards will be terminated from the program after due process.

Application Fee: General & OBC candidates have to pay the Online Registration Fees Rs.300/- by using Debit Card/Credit Card only. SC / ST / Female Candidates / Person with disabilities are exempted from payment of Application Fee.

List of eligible candidates to appear for CET on 9.7.2019 will be displayed at http://tmc.gov.in by 3rd week of June.
During the period of training, the Trainee shall not apply for any post or any other courses / P.G. studies / Scholarship or appear for any examination or interview outside or if applied before start of the training, the candidate has to give proper information to this institution.
