Admissions at NICMAR: Apply by November 20
National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR), a non profit organization with the express objective of engaging in activities for the promotion of training, research, professionalism and skill formation at all levels of the construction and other allied industries has invited applications for admission to various Programmes offered by it for 2020.
NICMAR Campuses’ are located at Pune (25/1, Balewadi, N.I.A. Post Office, Pune-411045), Hyderabad (Shamirpet) (H.No. 7-06, Jagganguda (V), Shamirpet (M), Aliabad (P.O.), Dist. Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad-500101); Goa (Farmagudi: Farmagudi (Ponda), Near Farmagudi Main Bus Stop/Ganapati Temple, Goa-403401); Delhi (Bahadurgarh): Dulhera, Bahadurgarh-Jhajjar State Highway No. 22, Bahadurgarh, Haryana-124507).
The Two year Post Graduate Programmes offered, campuses, eligibility etc; are as follows:
Advanced Construction Management (PGP ACM): Pune, Hyderabad, Goa and Delhi NCR; Bachelor's degree in Engineering in any discipline/Architecture/Planning with minimum 50% aggregate marks
Project Engineering and Management (PGP PEM): Pune and Hyderabad; Bachelor's degree in Engineering in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks
Real Estate and Urban Infrastructure Management (PGP REUIM): Pune; Bachelor's degree in Engineering in any discipline/Architecture/Planning with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
Infrastructure Finance, Development and Management (PGP IFDM): Pune; Bachelor's degree in Engineering in any discipline/Architecture/Planning with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
Contemporary Smart City Development and Management (PGP CSCDM): Pune (This is a two year programme for graduates designed to develop competence in providing solutions to a city’s development and management issues. This programme offers tools for conceptualising new smart cities and improving existing cities); Graduates in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
The One Year Post Graduate Programmes offered, campuses, eligibility are as follows:
Management of Family Owned Construction Business (PGP MFOCB): Pune (All those who successfully complete this programme are expected to join their family businesses and hence no placement assistance is provided by NICMAR); Graduates in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks and belonging to a family having construction business. Students are required to provide necessary documents and undertaking as regards ownership of construction business.
Quantity Surveying and Contract Management (PGP QSCM): Hyderabad; Bachelor's degree in Engineering in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
Health, Safety and Environment Management (PGP HSEM): Hyderabad; Bachelor's degree in Engineering in any discipline OR Diploma in Engineering in any discipline with minimum four years of experience. Minimum 50% aggregate marks are required in all criteria.
Final year eligible graduating students can also apply for all Programmes.
Progrmmes are conducted as full time on-campus programmes and will commence on July 13, 2020. The MFOCB programme will commence on June 22, 2020.

Programme brochures and application form for all the programmes can also be obtained from NICMAR Pune on payment of Rs. 2100/- for one programme or Rs. 2620/- for more than one programme by Demand Draft in favour of ‘NICMAR, Pune’.
Last date for receipt of filled offline Application by ‘Dean-Admissions, NICMAR, 25/1, Balewadi, N.I.A. Post Office, Pune-411045’, is November 20, 2019.
Applications are scrutinised and eligibility is established on the basis of documents submitted. Eligible candidates will be invited to appear for the selection procedure, which comprises of NICMAR Common Admission Test (NCAT) (or, other entrance examinations as specified below), Personal Interview (PI) and Rating of Application (RA).
NICMAR Common Admission Test (NCAT) will carry a total of 150 marks with questions from Quantitative and Analytical Ability (60 marks0; Data Interpretation (30 marks) and Verbal and General Ability (60 marks). Those who have valid CAT / GATE / GMAT / CMAT scores secured after January 1, 2018 can submit the same in lieu of appearing for NCAT.
NCAT & PI would be held during 13th January to 18th January, 2020 (Monday to Saturday). Admission result would be announced on 24th January, 2020.
Financial Assistance: The Institute offers ‘NICMAR Top Ranker’s Scholarship’ to 5 top ranking students joining NICMAR. The Institute also offers ‘NICMAR Means Based Top Ranker’s Scholarship’ to 5 top ranking students out of 100 highest ranked students in admissions. Besides, the Institute offers ‘Excalibur Award’ and substantial number of merit scholarships.
