Admissions at National Law University, Delhi: Apply by April 8
The National Law University, Sector-14, Dwarka, New Delhi-110078, has invited applications for admission to B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M. and Ph.D. Programmes for the Academic Year 2020-21, commencing in August, 2020.
For admission to the five year, B.A. LL.B. (Hons) Programme, applicant should have passed the Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or Equivalent Examination with 50% marks. There are 120 Seats of which 110 Seats are filled on merit through All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and 10 Seats are for direct admission to Foreign Nationals on merit (5 seats for Foreign Nationals & 5 seats for OCl/PIO). Foreign Nationals are exempted from AILET. Foreign Nationals to be eligible should have obtained 65% marks in the qualifying examination.
Reservation: 50% seats are reserved for students of Delhi. There will be one additional supernumerary seat for Kashmiri Migrants, 2 additional supernumerary seats for Residents of Jammu & Kashmir.
For admission to LL.M (One-Year Programme) applicant should have passed LL.B. or an Equivalent Law Degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disabilities). 70 Seats will be filled on merit through All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and 10 Seats are for direct admission to Foreign Nationals on merit (5 seats for Foreign Nationals & 5 seats for OCl/PIO). Foreign Nationals are exempted from AILET.
Reservation: 50% seats are reserved for students of Delhi. One additional supernumerary seat is set apart for Kashmiri Migrants.
For UG and PG Programmes those appearing for the final examination of the qualifying Degree can apply.
Ph.D. Programme Eligibility: Applicant should hold LL.M. Degree with 55% Marks or its Equivalent (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disabilities). 8 Seats are available under merit through All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and 2 Seats for direct admission to Foreign Nationals on merit of evaluation of Research Proposals. Foreign Nationals are exempted from AILET.
Selection process: Admission to B.A.LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M. and Ph.D. Programmes will be through an All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) to be conducted at Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Cuttack, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur, and Varanasi on May 3, 2020 (Sunday).
AILET for BA.LLB Programme will be held from 10 am to 11.30 am on May 3, 2020 (Sunday). It will have 150 Multiple Choice Questions for 150 marks from English (35 questions), General Knowledge (Current Affairs, General Science, History, Geography, Economics, Civics) (35), Basic Mathematics (10), Logical Reasoning (35) and Legal Aptitude (35). There will be Negative Marking of 0.25 for wrong answers.

Applications are to be submitted online at https://nludelhi.ac.in/, latest by 8 April 2020, with a payment of Rs.3,050/- for General / OBC / EWS / KM / J&K Residents Category Candidates and Rs.1,050/- in case of SC/ST and Persons with Disabilities (PD) along with copy of requisite Caste/Persons with Disabilities Certificate. Below Poverty Line (BPL) applicants of SC/ST Category are exempted from application fee. Admit cards will be available online w.e.f. April 22, 2020 from the website.
Old Question Papers of Entrance Test of B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) Programme from the year 2010 to 2018 are available on the counter at NLU, Delhi for sale on payment of Rs. 500/- by Credit /Debit Cards or through post by sending a Demand Draft of Rs. 550/- in favour of Registrar, National Law University Delhi payable at New Delhi along with a covering letter with an address for delivery.
