Admissions at Institute of Mathematics and Applications: Apply by July 3
The Institute of Mathematics and Applications, Bhubaneswar, has invited applications for admission to the various Under Graduate and Post Graduate Programmes offered by the Institute for 2020-21.
The Programmes offered are (i) B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics and Computing (ii) M.A/M.Sc. in Computational Finance and (iii) M.A/M.Sc. in Mathematics with Data Science.
Eligibility: For admission to the 3 year B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics and Computing Programme, applicant should have passed / appeared Higher Secondary or equivalent examination with Mathematics and English as a subject.
For admission to the M.A/M.Sc. in Computational Finance, applicant should have passed/appeared in Bachelor Degree with Mathematics/Statistics as a subject.
For admission to the M.A/M.Sc. in Mathematics with Data Science, applicant should have passed Bachelor Degree with Mathematics/Statistics as a honours/pass subject.
Selection: Admission to B.Sc. and M.A/M.Sc. courses will be made on the basis of an entrance test to be held on 29 July 2020 at Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Balasore, Kanpur, Bengaluru, Kerala (no place mentioned), Bhopal, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Brahmapur, Rajsthan, Chandigarh, Raipur, Chennai, Sambalpur, Delhi and Surathkal.
The entrance test will be of two hour duration. Question papers of previous years are available at https://iomaorissa.ac.in/admissions/.
Application: Application can be filled in online mode by 12 midnight on 3 July 2020 at https://iomaorissa.ac.in/admissions/. Those appearing at the qualifying examination can also apply.
Online application fee for each Programme is Rs. 700/- for general category and Rs. 400/- for SC/ST category.
After filling up the application form applicant is required to take 2 copies of printout. Correction(s), if any, can be made by the Applicant in the hard copy of Generated/Printed Application form by countersigning at the place of correction. One copy duly filled in, along with the requisite documents as per checklist along with the original Demand Draft towards the application fee should be sent to ‘The Director, Institute of Mathematics & Applications, Andharua, Bhubaneswar-751029’, by Speed Post only. One copy may be retained by the applicant for future reference.
Result of the entrance test is likely to be announced on 10 August 2020.
