10+2 Technical Entry in Indian Army: Apply by November 8
Indian Army has invited applications for admission to the 10+2 Technical Entry course commencing in January 2022 leading to the grant of Permanent Commission in the Army.
Applicant must be an unmarried male who is not below 16½ years and above 19½ years as on 1.1.2020. Applicant should not have been born before July 2 2002 and not after July 1 2005 (both days inclusive).
Applicant should have passed 10+2/equivalent examination with minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized education board. Eligibility condition for calculating PCM percentage of various state /central boards will be based on marks obtained in Class XII only.
Applicant must have appeared in JEE (Mains) 2021 for B.E/B Tech and should have a rank in it. Candidates will be required to fill their Rank in JEE Mains 2021 B.E/B Tech as per Common Rank List (CRL) only, in the application.
Application can be submitted online at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in by 1200 hrs on 8 November, 2021. Detailed procedure for submission of application is given in the Notification at the website.
Applications will be shortlisted for SSB interviews to be held at one of the Selection Centres at Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka) or Kapurthala (Punjab) by Psychologist, Group Testing Officer and Interviewing Officer. Call Up letter for SSB interview will be issued by respective Selection Centres on candidate’s registered e-mail ID and SMS only.
Candidates will be put through two stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail in Stage I will be returned on the same day. Duration of SSB interview is five days and details of the same are available at the official website of Directorate General of Recruiting www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. This will be followed by a medical examination for the candidates who get recommended after Stage II.
Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit, will be issued Joining Letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.
The number of vacancies is 90 (provisional).
Total training will be of 5 years which includes Basic Military Training of 1 year (Officer Training Academy Gaya) and Technical Training- (i) Phase-I (Pre Commission Training) for 3 Years (CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad) and (ii) Phase-II (Post Commission Training) for 1 year at CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad.
Candidates will be awarded Engineering degree after successful completion of the final examination. On successful completion of 4 years of the course, cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lt.
