Uttar Pradesh State Institute of Forensic Sciences (UPSIFS), Piparsand, Sarojni Nagar, Lucknow-226008; affiliated to the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar, Gujarat; has invited applications for admission to various Programs for the Academic Year 2023-24.
Programs and eligibility for admission are as follows:
(i) B.Sc. - M.Sc. Forensic Science (Integrated Course as per new UGC Rules- 5 years)- Passed or appeared in 10+2/equivalent in Science, Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Mathematics with at least 60% marks or equivalent (55% or equivalent for SC/ST and PwD category candidates).
(ii) One Year P.G. Diploma (Forensic Ballistics & Explosives) -Bachelor's degree in any Science/Forensic science/ Medicine/ Pharmacy
(iii) One Year P G Diploma (Forensic Cyber Security - Graduate degree from any discipline
(iv) One Year P G. Diploma (Forensic Document Examination)- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Science/Medicine/ Forensic Science/ Pharmacy/ Engineering or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and minimum 5 years of experience in the field of Fingerprint Science in any government organization.
(v) One Year P G. Diploma (DNA Forensics) - Bachelor's degree in any Science/ Forensic science/Medicine/ Pharmacy
For PG Diploma Programs, applicant should have at least 50% marks or equivalent (45% or equivalent for SC/ST and PwD Category candidates) in the qualifying examination.
Admission will be through Entrance examination/on the basis of merit of the marks obtained in the qualifying degree.
Reservation Policy of UP Sate government will be followed.
Entrance Examination fee is Rs. 500/-. For Females, SC/ST/EWS, it is Rs. 250/-.
