Admission to M.Sc Nursing Course in Kerala: Apply by September 13

Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Housing Board Buildings, Santhi Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram-695001, has invited applications for the Entrance Examination for admission to Post Graduate Degree Courses in Nursing (M.Sc. Nursing) 2022.

Admission will be offered to Government Nursing Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Kannur and to Government seats in various Self-Financing colleges in (i) Medical Surgical Nursing (ii) Community Health Nursing (iii) Child Health Nursing (iv) Obstetrics & Gynecology Nursing (v) Mental Health Nursing Specialties.

Eligibility: Applicants should be Indian Citizen of Kerala origin. Sons/daughters of non-Keralite parents, who have obtained B.Sc. Nursing degree from any of the Nursing Colleges in Kerala; those who are not of Kerala origin but have been a resident of Kerala for a period of not less than five years can also apply. Non-Keralite applicants will not be eligible for communal/Persons with Disability (PD) reservation benefits.

Academic Qualification: Applicant should have passed (i) Bachelor Degree in Nursing or (ii) Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing after acquiring General Nursing and Midwifery Course with +2 Science Subjects. Applicant should have secured 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/SEBC/PWD) at Bachelor level and should have obtained registration with the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council/ any State Nursing Council of the state from where they have qualified.

Experience: Applicant should have one year of experience on 5.09.2022, after registration with the respective State Nursing Council or minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc Nursing. Details are given in the Prospectus available at www.cee.kerala.gov.in

Upper age limit will be 46 years as on 05.09.2022. It will be, 49 years for service candidates.

Application: Applications including those of Service quota candidates have to be submitted online at www.cee.kerala.gov.in by 10 am on 13.09.2022.

Application Fee is Rs. 1050/- (Rs. 525/- for SC/ST categories). For Service quota, it is Rs. 1050/-. General quota candidates seeking admission in service quota should pay an additional amount of Rs. 1050/-. Fee can be paid online using internet banking/credit card/debit card or by cash using e-chellan in any of the Head /Sub Post Offices in Kerala.

Service quota candidates in addition to applying online, should forward a copy of the Application Acknowledgement page along with all required documents including their service details to the Controlling Officer (DME/DHS/IMS) concerned as stipulated in clause 6.3 and 8.2.5 of the Prospectus, to reach latest by 4 pm on 17.09.2022.

Selection will be based on the Entrance Examination to be conducted by the CEE to be held on 26.09.2022 at various centres in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kannur. It will be a Computer Based Test of 2 hours duration with 200 Multiple Choice Questions,. Time schedule and other details of examination will be notified later. Details of the Examination are given in the Prospectus.
