PSC exams to be in two phases; second paper to test subject knowledge
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Public Service Commission has decided to conduct examinations for appointment to various government posts in two phases. The first phase will be a preliminary screening test. Those who pass this stage will be eligible to attend the second main test which will see questions according to the post for which exam is conducted, said PSC Chairman MK Sakeer.
This new method will be applicable for posts which attracts large number of applications. The examinations with different eligibilities like SSLC, Plus Two and degree will differ in quality level. The marks obtained in the prelims will not affect the rank list which would be prepared solely based on the main exam, he added.
Sakeer further stated that various examinations that were postponed due to Covid-19 pandemic will be held in September. The exams for applications called for now will be held in December.
All those deserving candidates who were included in rank lists have been appointed. He also added that the results of KAS prelims will be published shortly.
