No action against KAS exam absentees
Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Public Service Commission has informed that no disciplinary action will be taken against those candidates who did not appear for the Kerala Administrative Service preliminary exam held on February 22, 2020.
Though 4,00,014 candidates had given confirmation to write the exam, only 3.93 lakh had downloaded the admit card. Among this only 3.40 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam, according to early reports.
PSC officials have informed that no action will be taken against the absentees. PSC Chairman MK Sakeer had said that more number of candidates appeared for the exam that expected. He also said that the number of absentees was also less than that expected.
Many had attended that exam on the fear of blocking their profiles as said by PSC earlier.
Now PSC has said that no action will be taken against those who did not attend the exam. Only relevant reasons have to be furnished when directed, it is said.
