Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre, Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India; Sector-I, Block-AF, Bidhan Nagar, Kolkata-700064, has invited applications for online interview for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions in various research projects of the Centre.
Eligibility: Applicant should have first class Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Physics with minimum 60% marks or equivalent from any recognized University / Institute and must have qualified CSIR-UGC NET / GATE national level examination.
Application: Application may be submitted by email to rect@vecc.gov.in in the format available as part of the Notification at https://www.vecc.gov.in/notifications/details/2 attaching all the photocopies of the mark sheets, certificates, 2 recommendation letters issued by the faculty members of the institute last attended and other relevant testimonials. Te subject line of the mail should be ‘Application for engagement as Junior Research Fellow’. Last date for receipt of application is 11 December 2020.
Eligible applicants will be invited for online interview, the date of which will be intimated in due course of time. Those unable to attend on-line interview may inform well in advance at rect@vecc.gov.in and provide reasons for his/her inability to join on-line interview. The committee will examine the reasons given by the candidates and make suitable arrangement for genuine cases.
The JRFs who join on selection will be eligible for registration in the Ph.D. Programme of Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI) (deemed to be University) subject to fulfilment of HBNI / UGC norms.
