Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination: Apply by December 15

Staff Selection Commission has invited applications for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2020. The examination will be for recruitment to the Posts of Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operator for the various Ministries/Departments/Offices of the Government of India.

Eligibility: Applicant must generally be a citizen of India. Relaxations on this condition are given in the Notification available at https://ssc.nic.in.

Applicant should be between 18-27 years as on 1 January 2021. Those born between 2 January 1994 and 1 January 2003 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply. Permissible relaxation in Upper age limit for different categories is given in the Notification.

Applicant must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University. For Data Entry Operator Grade A in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG), applicant should have passed the 12th Standard in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.

Applications can be submitted online at https://ssc.nic.in latest by 11.30 pm on 15 December 2020.

Application fee: Application fee is Rs. 100/-.  Women candidates and those belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Persons with Disability (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ExS) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.

Application fee is to be paid online or by cash using SBI Challan. Fee can be paid online by 11.30 pm on 17 December 2020. If payment is made by Challan, the challan has to be generated by 11.30 pm on 19 December 2020 and payment completed within bank working hours on 21 January 2020.

Selection process: The selection will be a three-tier process. It will consist of a Computer Based Examination (Tier-I), Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) and Typing Test/ Skill Test (Tier-III). Tier-1 Test will be held during 12 April 2021 and 27 April 2021. The date for Tier-II Examination will be notified later. Details are given in the Notification.
