Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Block No. 12, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003, has invited applications for the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE), 2020, for filling Group B/C posts in different Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations.
The likely posts that will be filled up include Assistant, Assistant Audit Officer; Assistant Accounts Officer, Assistant Section Officer, Inspector of Income Tax, Inspector (Central Excise), Assistant Enforcement Officer, Sub Inspector, Inspector, Inspector Posts, Divisional Accountant, Junior Statistical Officer, Auditor, Accountant, Accountant/Junior Accountant; Tax Assistant etc; in various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations.
Eligibility: Applicant must be an Indian (exceptions are given in the Notification). Age limit as on 1 January 2021, for each Post has been specified in the detailed Notification at https://ssc.nic.in
Essential Educational Qualifications (as on 1 January 2021):
Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce/Business Studies/Business Administration (Finance)/Business Economics.
Junior Statistical Officer: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level or Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
All other Posts: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent. The cut-off date for acquiring the minimum educational qualification is 01-01-2021.
Application: Application can be submitted online at https://ssc.nic.in, latest by 23.30 hrs on 31 January 2021.
Application Fee: Application fee is Rs 100/-. Women and those belonging to SC/ST/PwD and Ex-servicemen category eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee. Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan. Fee can be paid online by 23.30 hrs on 2 February 2021. For offline payment of application fee, Challan can be generated by 23.30 hrs on 4 February 2021. Payment through Challan can be done latest by working hours of Bank on 6 February 2021.
Scheme of the Examination: The Examination will be conducted in four tiers.
- Tier-I: Computer Based Examination
- Tier-II: Computer Based Examination
- Tier-III: Pen and Paper Mode (Descriptive paper)
- Tier-IV: Computer Proficiency Test/ Data Entry Skill Test (wherever applicable)
The detailed structure of the examination is given in the Notification. Computer Based Examination (Tier-I) is tentatively scheduled between 29 May 2021 and 7 June 2021
