WISE-KIRAN (Women in Science and Engineering - Knowledge Involvement in in Research Advancement through Nurturing) Division, Ministry of Science and Technology, Department of Science and Technology (DST), has invited applications for the WISE Internship in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) [erstwhile Women Scientists Scheme-C (WOS-C)] that offers training in different fields of IPR.

This one-year training programme implemented by Technology Information, Forecasting & Assessment Council (TIFAC), an Autonomous body of Department of Science & Technology (DST), Govt of India, provides theoretical knowledge of IPRs as well as on-the-job training at various centres in the country.

Women scientists in age group of 25-45 years and having PG/ Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Basic or Applied Sciences are eligible to apply. Women in permanent/ regular employment are not eligible for this programme.

Stipend: Those selected will get stipend based on their qualification. Those with M.Sc. in Basic or Applied Sciences/ B. Tech./ MBBS or equivalent will get Rs. 25,000/- pm, those with M. Phil. /M. Tech./ M. Pharma/ M. V. Sc. or equivalent, Rs. 30,000/- pm and those with Ph.D. in Basic or Applied Sciences or equivalent, Rs. 35,000/- pm

Application: Applications can be submitted online at www.tifac.org.in by 31 May, 2023.

Selection: Those meeting the eligibility criteria will be shortlisted and called for an online test. Selection will be through the All India online examination and interview.

The online exam of 2 hours’ duration will be objective in nature, aimed at determining the analytical, scientific and technical abilities. It will have 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ type) in 2 Sections of 60 questions each - Section A (General Section) and Section B (Technical Subject Section). Section A will be common for all. Section B will be different for different candidates as per their subject stream. Candidates will be able to view Questions in Section B based their subject stream. Each correct answer will carry 1 mark while for each wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted. Details are given at https://wisekiranipr.org.in/online/aboutwosc.jsp
