The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has invited applications for contract recruitment to the posts of women drivers in the KSRTC-SWIFT buses. The appointment will be on a daily wage basis. The number of vacancies has not been determined, but around 400 vacancies are expected. Working hours will be between 5 am and 10 pm.
The wage for eight hours of duty is Rs 715, with Rs 130 per hour for overtime work. Incentives and allowances are also available. The basic qualification required is a 10th class pass or equivalent, and candidates must have good physical fitness.
The age limit for candidates with heavy passenger vehicle (HPV) licence is 35 years, and for light motor vehicle (LMV) licence holders, it is 30 years. Those who have applied for a heavy vehicle licence and those who have work experience will be considered for age relaxation on production of relevant documents.
Selected candidates will have to pay a security deposit of Rs. 30,000 and submit a bond of Rs. 30,000 for two years. Those who do not perform at least 16 duties in each month for three consecutive months will be dismissed.
Candidates can apply online through the website, along with copies of self-attested certificates proving qualification, work experience, and age, and a passport size photograph.
