Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Valiayamala, Thiruvananthapuram has invited applications for the Summer Internship Programme to be held from 24 May 2023 to 21 July 2023.

The IIST Summer Internship Programme provides an opportunity to talented interns to work with faculty of IIST on interesting short term projects. A wide variety of topics are available for the Programme under Aerospace, Avionics, Chemistry, Earth Spaces and Sciences, Humanities, Mathematics, Physics and Software Support Group.

Eligibility: The internship is open to students at various stages in BTech, BS-MS, MSc, and other programmes as per the eligibility prescribed for each specialisation. The details of the Faculty Supervisors, Topics, Project, Period and eligibility for admissions are given at

Clarifications on a topic can be obtained from the faculty supervisor for the topic.

The summer internship of 2023 does not have fellowships. However, boarding and lodging will be provided at nominal rates depending on the availability of the hostel rooms and the Covid condition during the internship period. Interns have to pay a nominal amount towards certain administrative charges when they join for an internship. Details are given at the web link.

Each intern will be given a temporary identity card to access various facilities in IIST.

Interns will be provided certificates for completed internships.

Selected students will receive an offer letter after the announcement of results with guidelines for the internship program at IIST, which would explain the required papers and formalities to be followed upon arrival at IIST.
