Indian Army has activated the facility for Registration for recruitment of Agniveers in the Indian Army for the Recruiting Year 2022-23.
Categories of positions and eligibility criteria are as follows:
Agniveer (General Duty) (All Arms) and Agniveer (General Duty) (Women Military Police): Applicant should have passed Class 10th/Matric with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject. For boards following grading system, minimum of D grade (33% - 40%) in individual subjects or grades with 33% in individual subjects and overall aggregate of ‘C2’ grade or equivalent corresponding to 45% in aggregate. Those with valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving Licence will be given preference for Driver requirements.
Agniveer (Technical) (All Arms): 10+2 / Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate & 40% marks in each subject or 10+2 / Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English from any recognized State Education Board or Central Education Board to include NIOS and ITI course of minimum one year in required field with NSQF Level 4 or above.
Agniveer Clerk / Store Keeper Technical (All Arms): 10+2 / Intermediate Exam pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject, securing 50% in English and Mathematics / Accounts / Book Keeping in Class 12th.
Agniveer Tradesman 10th Pass (All Arms): Pass in Class 10 with minimum 33% in each subject.
Agniveer Tradesman 8th pass (Syce, Housekeeper & Messkeeper) (All Arms): Pas in Class 8 with minimum 33% in each subject.
Age: Age limit for all the positions is 17.5 years to 21 years. However, the upper age limit has been relaxed from 21 years to 23 years as a onetime measure for the Recruiting Year 2022-23.
For Women MP only, Upper age limit will be relaxable up to 30 years in respect of widows of defence personnel who have died in harness.
