NORKA opens opportunities for nurses, Operating Department Practitioners for UK recruitment

Nurses can now have an opportunity to participate in the Norka UK Talent Mobility Drive, which allows them to interview with UK employers, including various NHS Trusts. Additionally, nursing professionals can also apply for the Norka Roots recruitment drive events scheduled in Kochi (October 10, 11, 13, 14, 20, 21) and Mangaluru (October 17, 18), 2023.

In addition to nursing, Operation Department Practitioners (ODPs) can also participate in the October recruitment drive. Nurses' interviews will be conducted on October 10, 11, 13, 14, 20, and 21 in Kochi, and on October 17 and 18 in Mangaluru. ODP interviews are scheduled for October 14 in Kochi.

To be eligible, candidates must possess a Degree or Diploma in Nursing and have an IELTS/OET UK score. Candidates without an IELTS/OET score will receive a conditional offer letter if selected and must pass the OET/IELTS within 6 months. For General Medical & Surgical Nurses and Emergency posts, a minimum of 1 year of work experience within the last 3 years is required, while Theater Nurses need a minimum of 1 year of work experience within the last 2 years. Mental Health Nurses must have Nursing Council registration and a minimum of 6 months of work experience in a Psychiatry Ward.

Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs)

Applicants for ODP positions should hold an Anesthesia Technologist Degree (BSc) or Diploma in Operation Theater & Anesthesia Technologist. HCPC registration is also necessary, along with one year of work experience (current experience in the role of Operation Department Technician). Preference will be given to candidates with an OET/IELTS UK score demonstrating English language proficiency. Candidates who do not currently possess an OET/IELTS UK score can obtain the qualification later if selected.
