JRF (Chemistry) positions at Siddha Central Research Institute in Chennai

Siddha Central Research Institute (SCRI), Arumbakkam, Chennai - 600106, has notified a walk-in-interview for the selection of 2 Junior Research Fellows in Chemistry for 2 IMR Projects.

For JRF (Chemistry) for a period of 1 year, for the IMR Project titled ‘Isolation of chemical marker from selected plants used in RCH’, applicant should hold a M.Sc. in Chemistry/Organic/Analytical Chemistry.

Desirable: (i) CSIR-JRF/NET (ii) Experience in Organic Phytochemistry and hands on experience in HPLC, method development and method validation concepts.

Age: Age should not to exceed 35 years as on 31 December 2020. This is relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC as per Govt. Rules.

For JRF (Chemistry) for a period of 6 months, for the project titled ‘Analysis of Inorganic composition of selected plants used in Siddha system’, applicant should have M.Sc. in Chemistry/Inorganic/Analytical Chemistry.

Desirable Qualification: (i) CSIR-JRF/NET (ii) Experience in Inorganic chemistry or Analytical chemistry and hands on experience in XRD (iii) The candidate should be well versed with analytical method development and method validation and data interpretation.

For both positions, applicant should not be over 35 years of age as on 31.12.2020, which is relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC as per Govt. Rules. Fellowship amount will be: Rs.31,000/- + 24% HRA p.m.

The walk-in-interview is to be held at 10.30 am on 31 December 2020 at the Institute. Those attending should bring original certificates along with copies, two passport size photos, address proof and ID proof along with copy.

The engagement will be purely on contract basis and no claim for continuation or regular appointment in SCRI, Chennai will be entertained.
