The National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW), New Delhi has invited applications for summer internship for Post-Graduate/Research Students for 2022-23.
The scheme aims to facilitate the students pursuing the post-graduate/research in applied aspects of health to study and get familiarized with the Public Health and Health System in the Country by exposing the selected candidates in different departments/programmes/projects of NIHFW, MOHFW.
The broad fields/disciplines for internship include Health Financing, Hospital Management, Demography, Statistics, National Health Programmes/NHM, HMIS, Epidemiology, Health Education and Promotion, Health Management, Health Planning and Evaluation, Public Health Policies, Social Sciences in Health, SDGs, Reproductive Bio-medicine etc.
Applicant should be a citizen of India and possessing or successfully completed MBBS,
Master of Public Health, Masters in Health Sciences, PG Diploma in Public Health Management, Post Graduate Diploma in Health or Hospital
Management, Research Scholar pursuing doctoral work in health/population Sciences or pursuing research courses in public health or any of the subject relevant to the institute from a recognized College/University/ Research institute with outstanding academic record. Applicants must have attained a minimum of 60% marks in qualifying examination.
The internship will be for a period of 2 to 3 months. Each intern/student shall be required to submit report/paper (along with soft copy) at the end of the assignment.
A total of 10 interns are proposed to be selected during 2022-23. A token stipend @Rs.5000/- per month would be paid to the selected intern on successful
completion of his/her internship, at the end of internship period.
