Nehru Memorial Museum and Library, Teen Murti House, New Delhi-110011 has invited applications for the award of Fellowships to outstanding scholars to pursue research in (i) India: Recent Historical Trends and Developments (ii) India in Transition: Issues and Challenges (iii) India and the Wider World and (iv) Governance and Statecraft: Past and Present.
Applications are also invited for the award of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Fellowship on Prime Ministers of India for which the newly opened Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya will be an important source of research and information.
The Fellowships are offered at three levels: Junior Fellow, Fellow and Senior Fellow. The emoluments, including allowances, will correspond to that of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor of Central Universities, respectively. CPF/GPF facilities will be extended only to scholars having permanent jobs who take up the fellowship after taking leave without pay from their parent institution.
All the selected fellows should undertake their research work/project only making NMML as their base. They will be allowed for the study tour only after obtaining approval from the competent authority.

Duration of the fellowship is 2 years

Filled Applications will be accepted through e-mail only. Filled applications are to be sent along with a write-up of about 2,000 words on the proposed project to be undertaken. Preference would be given to those applicants who will use the archival records of NMML for their research.

Those who have already applied for Senior Fellowship or Atal Bihar Vajpayee Fellowship need not apply again as their applications will be automatically considered.
