Indian Navy has invited applications for the 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme (Permanent Commission) Course commencing in July, 2021. Under the Scheme, those selected will join Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala for a four year B.Tech degree course.
Eligibility
Applicant must be an unmarried male, fulfilling the conditions of nationality as laid down by the Govt. of India and born between 2nd January, 2002 and 1st July, 2004 (both dates inclusive).Applicants should have passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examinations from any Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).
Applicants should have appeared for the for B.E./ B.Tech paper of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)- Main -2020 conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) and secured an All India Rank (AIR).
Applicants should satisfy the prescribed medical standards.
Selection
Based on Applications received, IHQ of MoD(Navy) will fix the cut off for shortlisting of applications for Service Selection Board (SSB) based on JEE (Main) All India Rank (AIR) - 2020. Approximately 900 candidates will be shortlisted for SSB.SSB interviews for short listed candidates will be held at Bangalore / Bhopal / Kolkata / Visakhapatnam during March-June 2021. Those recommended by the SSBs and declared medically fit, will be selected for training in Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala, Kerala, based on All India Merit prepared as per SSB marks and number of vacancies. They will be inducted as Cadets for the four year B.Tech Course in Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering as per Naval requirements. On completion of the course, B.Tech Degree will be awarded by the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
The entire cost of training, including books and reading material, will be borne by the Indian Navy. Cadets will also be provided with entitled clothing and messing. The selected candidates will be distributed among the Education, Executive and Technical Branches of Indian Navy on completion of their course at INA. There are 5 vacancies in Education Branch and 21 vacancies in Executive & Technical Branch
