10+2 (B. Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala

Indian Navy has invited applications for admission to the four-year B. Tech degree course under the 10+2 (B. Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala for (a) Executive & Technical Branch and (b) Education Branch for the course commencing in July 2023.

There are 30 vacancies in Executive & Technical Branch. Branch allocation - Executive & Technical (Engineering & Electrical) will be undertaken at Indian Naval Academy.

Eligibility: Applicants should (i) be unmarried males fulfilling the conditions of nationality as laid down by the Govt. of India and born between 2 January 2004 and 1 July 2006 (both dates inclusive) (ii) have passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examination from any Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII) (iii) have appeared for JEE (Main) - 2022 exam (for B.E/ B. Tech).

Selection Procedure: IHQ MoD (Navy) will fix the cut off for shortlisting of applications for SSB based on JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) 2022 of JEE Main Paper 1.

SSB interviews for shortlisted candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Kolkata/ Visakhapatnam from March 2023 onwards. Candidates are to download the call up letter on receiving intimation from IHQ MoD (N) via SMS/email provided by candidate in their application. Merit list: Merit list would be prepared based on SSB marks. Candidates declared fit in medical examination would be appointed subject to police verification and character verification & availability of vacancies in the entry. Training: Selected Candidates will be inducted as Cadets for the four years B. Tech Course in Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering as per Naval requirements. On completion of the course, B. Tech Degree will be awarded by the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Distribution of cadets amongst Executive and Technical Branch (Engineering & Electrical) will be as per the extant policy. The entire cost of training, including books and reading material, will be borne by the Indian Navy. The cadets will also be provided with entitled clothing and messing.

Application: Application can be submitted at www.joinindiannavy.gov.in latest by 12th February, 2023. Candidate may apply for Executive & Technical Branch or Education Branch or both according to their preference. Candidate will be shortlisted for SSB based on their first preference. If not shortlisted for the first preference, candidate may be considered for alternate branch subject to availability of spare slot in SSB batches of that Branch. If a candidate has opted for only one branch, he will not be considered for other branch despite being in merit.
