One more Keralite has been selected by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission UK for the prestigious Exeter scholarship. Kollam Anchal native Sreeram Vatsakumar has bagged the scholarship for post-graduation studies in Renewable Energy Engineering at the Exeter University in UK worth Rs 35 lakh.
The classes for the 12 month-long study programmes will begin in September. Sreeram is one among the eight students selected for the scholarship.
Sreeram completed his graduation in Electrical and Electronics Engineering 2016 and joined Civil Services Academy. Later he worked as research associate at the International Centre for Technological Innovations in Alappuzha.
Sreeram is the son of Anchal natives Vatsakumar and Sindhu. He completed his studies from Anchal East Higher Secodary School and Adoor College of Engineering.
