Indian Maritime University (IMU), a Central University under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India has invited applications for admission to the Bachelors, Masters and Diploma Programmes at various centres of the University for 2023.

IMU campuses are located at (i) Chennai (ii) Navi Mumbai (iii) Mumbai Port (iv) Kolkata (v) Visakhapatnam and (vi) Kochi

Programs and campuses are as follows:

B.Tech: Marine Engineering (Chennai, Kolkata & Mumbai Port); Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering (Visakhapatnam); B.Sc - Nautical Science (Chennai, Kochi & Navi Mumbai); DNS (Diploma in Nautical Science) (Chennai & Navi Mumbai); BBA - Logistics, Retailing and E-Commerce (Chennai & Kochi); Apprenticeship embedded BBA – Maritime Logistics (Visakhapatnam); B.Sc Ship Building & Repair Offered only at IMU’s Affiliated Institute - College of Ship Technology(CST), Palakkad.

Duration: B.Tech- 4 years, BSc, BBA- 3 years; DNS- 1 year.

Applicants for B.Tech, B.Sc and DNS Programmes should have passed 10+2/equivalent with 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM).

For DNS, those holding B.Sc. in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or Electronics with Physics as individual subject in one of the years, with an average of not less than 55%marks in the final year or B.E./B.Tech Degree with an average of not less than 50%marks in the final year are eligible.

For BBA, applicant should have passed 10+2/equivalent with minimum 50% marks in any stream.

For all programmes applicant must have minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th or 12th Examination. Applicant should also satisfy the conditions related to Age, Marital status etc. Relaxation in age limit/marks is available for reserved categories.

Selection to the UG Programs except BBA will be based on the IMU Common Entrance Test (CET) Under Graduate to be held from 11 am to 2 pm on 10.6.2023 at centres across the country. Details are available in the Admission Brochure at https://www.imu.edu.in/

Admission to BBA will be based on CUET UG conducted by NTA/Marks in Class 12. CUET UG applicants will be given preference in admission.

Masters Programmes: M.Tech - Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering (Visakhapatnam); Dredging & Harbour Engineering (Visakhapatnam); Marine Technology (Kolkata); MBA – International Transportation & Logistics Management (Chennai, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam & Kochi) ; Port & Shipping Management (Chennai & Kochi).

The detailed eligibility conditions for admission to the Masters Programmes, selection process (IMU CET PG/other Entrance Examinations) are given in the Admission Brochure.

Applications (except for BBA) can be submitted online at https://www.imu.edu.in/ latest by 18.5.2023. For BBA, applications will be accepted till 22.6.2023.
