Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB), Thiruvananthapuram, has invited applications for admission to the highly innovative MSc Biotechnology Program (2 years/4 semesters) with three unique specializations - Disease Biology, Molecular Diagnostics & DNA Profiling and Genetic Engineering.
The program is affiliated to the Regional Centre for Biotechnology, Haryana.
Eligibility: Applicant should have a Bachelor's degree in any branch of Science, Engineering or Medicine with 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC, ST, OBC, and PWD)/ equivalent grade point average. Applicant should also have a valid GAT-B score.
Selection: The final selection of the students will be done based on the GAT-B Cut off rank/Score fixed by RGCB for each category.
A maximum of 20 students would be admitted. The first two semesters will be common to all students. Specialization will be in the third and fourth semester. Students can opt for the concerned specialization after passing second semester examination. Final allocation of specialization will be on the basis of marks scored.
Stipend: Those admitted will receive the RGCB stipend of Rs.6000/- per month for the first year and Rs.8000/- for the second year of the MSc program.
