Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research And Management (IITRAM), Ahmedabad has invited applications for admission to the Regular and Part-Time Ph.D. Programmes offered by the Institute for 2023-24 (Autumn Semester) admission.
Programme is offered in the following departments and centers of excellence for the academic year 2023-2024 (Autumn Semester).
Departments: (i) Civil Engineering (ii) Electrical and Computer Science Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science) (iii) Mechanical and Aero-space Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Aero-space Engineering) (iv) Humanities and Social Sciences (English, Sociology, and Economics) (v) Basic Sciences (Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics); Centres: Center of Drone Technology; Center for (i) Advanced Defence Technology (ii) Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (iii) Aerospace and Defence
Eligibility: Applicant should possess the following in appropriate subject areas: (i)Engineering/Technology: Master’s degree in relevant subject of Engineering/ Technology and Bachelor’s degree in relevant subjects of Engineering/ Technology (ii) Basic Sciences: Master's degree in relevant subjects of Science/ Engineering (iii) Humanities and Social Sciences: M. A. or equivalent degree in Humanities and Social Sciences subjects or Master’s degree in Commerce or Master’s degree in relevant subjects of Science. Those with two year PGDM from recognized institutions will be considered for the research areas consistent with their academic background.
Applicant should have specified class/percentage of marks in the qualifying examination/(s). Details are given in the PhD Admission link at https://iitram.ac.in/
The following additional credentials (as applicable) are desirable: Any Research Fellowship from UGC-NET (including JRF) / UGC - CSIR NET (including JRF) / SLET / GATE / teacher fellowship or M. Phil Degree.
Application: Application Form can be filled Online at https://iitram.ac.in/phd2324autumn latest by May 14, 2023. There is no application fee.
Selection: List of applicants short-listed for written test and interview will be announced on May 22, 2023. Short listed applicants have to attend written test and interview to be conducted at IITRAM on June 9 and 10, 2023. The cut-off marks in the written test for interview will be 50% (40% for SC / ST Candidates). The syllabus of the written test shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% subject specific.
Those having any of the specified desirable qualifications shall be exempted from written test and will be called directly for the interview. Those shortlisted for the Interview are required to give a brief presentation on any topic of their research interest. Documents will be physically verified on the day of interview.
