PhD at IIM Sambalpur: Apply by March 31

Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Sambalpur; Jyoti Vihar, Burla, Sarnbalpur, Odisha-768019, has invited applications for admission to the full-time, residential, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Programme in Management- 2020-21.

Doctoral Program in Management is offered in the areas of Organizational Behavior & Human Resource Management; Finance & Accounting Management; Production and Operation Management; Economics; Policy & Strategic Management; Information System Management and Marketing Management.

Eligibility: Applicant should hold one of the following (i) Master’s Degree or Post Graduate Diploma (2 years) in any discipline or Integrated (Dual) Degree from IITs/IIMs/Other reputed Universities, with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade point average in the Bachelor’s as well as 60% in the Master’s Degree (ii) A Professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS with B. Com Degree, with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade point average in the Professional degree as well as in the B. Com Degree (iii) A 4-year/8-semester Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering/B. Arch) with at least 6.5 cumulative grade point average (CGPA) or equivalent percent marks. Those belonging to S.C/ST/OBC (NCL) /Persons-with-Disabilities will get a 5% relaxation in the minimum marks requirement.

Those in the final year of their Master's/Bachelor's Programmes can also apply, subject to completion of all the requirements of admission, latest by 30th June, 2020.

Applicant should have a valid Common Admission Test (CAT) score or a standard test score in lieu of CAT. Applicant should have a score in CAT 2017, 2018 or 2019 or GRE/GATE/GMAT/JRF (UGC/CSIR) score taken during the last two years. Standard Test Score is not required if an applicant is PGP Alumni of any IIM, PGPX/PGP- PMP/Integrated Programme in Management (all regular courses) where such courses are offered. Part-time/evening/week-end/Distance Learning programmes of IIM are not considered.

Selection will be based on Test Score, Personal Interview, Academic Qualifications, Relevant work experience, Research Aptitude, Publications and Reference Letter.

Those admitted are expected to complete the programme in four years, including a maximum if two years of course work. Those admitted get a stipend of Rs.35,000/- to Rs.40,000/- per month and also, international Conference grant and Contingency grant.
