PhD Admissions at IIIT Kottayam; Apply by May 15


Indian Institute of Information Technology Kottayam, an Institution under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, Valavoor P.O, Pala, Kottayam (Dt), Kerala -686635 has invited applications for admission to the PhD Programmes commencing in August 2021.

PhD Programmes are offered in Computer Science and Engineering/Electronics and Communication Engineering. The areas in which these programmes will be offered are given in the detailed Notification available at the Admission link at https://www.iiitkottayam.ac.in

Admissions are offered in Scholarship Holders (Full-Time), Sponsored (Full-Time), Self-Financed (Full-Time) and Part-Time categories.

Eligibility: Applicant should hold a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Computer Science/Computer Applications/ Electronics and Communication Engineering /Electrical Engineering or equivalent area with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of either 6.0 in a 10-point scale or 60% of marks in appropriate branches or a Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / Information Technology/ Electronics and Communication Engineering/Electrical Engineering from any IIT’s, IIITs,NITs, Other Institutions of National Importance with a minimum CGPA of either 7.0 or equivalent in a 10-point scale or 70% of marks. Such students will be awarded both MS and PhD degree on completion of PhD Programme without any exit option during the programme.

Application: Applications can be submitted online at https://www.iiitkottayam.ac.in latest by 5 pm on 15th May 2021.

Those appearing in their qualifying degree examinations may also apply provisionally.

Application Fee is Rs.1000/- (Rs 500/- for SC/ST/PWD/Female candidates) which may be paid online.

Selection: Selection will be based on the performance in the written test and /or interview.
