The division of Cancer Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, has invited applications for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Programme in Statistics/ Biostatistics/ Epidemiology/Data Science.
The Ph.D. program in Epidemiology, Statistics, Biostatistics and Data Science of RCC is currently recognized by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, Karnataka. The residence requirement for the Ph.D. program is a minimum of three and half years after the registration and may be extended up to five years.
Applicant should possess first class (not less than 60% in aggregate) Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology or Public Health depending on the subject in which candidate likes to do their Ph.D.
Applicants must have cleared one of the National Eligibility Tests conducted by UGC/CSIR/ICMR/Department of Higher Education, Government of India (GATE) or should have a valid fellowship of UGC/CSIR/INSPIRE/ICMR/KSCSTE or other recognized funding agencies. Additionally, fellows working in the funded projects may be allowed to register for Ph.D. as per the University guidelines.

Application registration fee of Rs 250/- has to be paid by way of a Demand Draft in favor of the ‘Director, Regional Cancer Centre’, and Payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
The filled application with copies of all relevant documents should reach ‘The Additional Director (Academic) Academic Cell, Regional Cancer Centre Thiruvananthapuram-695011’, latest by 5th March, 2023.
Selection will be based on performance in the entrance test to be held on 25th March, 2023, followed by Interview.
