Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Tirupati, has invited applications for admission to Ph.D in Engineering, Science and Humanities & Social Sciences and MS (Research) Programs in Engineering.
Ph.D Program is offered in the Departments of (i) Chemical Engineering (ii) Civil and Environmental Engineering (iii) Computer Science & Engineering (iv) Electrical Engineering (v) Mechanical Engineering (vi) Chemistry (vii) Physics (viii) Mathematics and Statistics (ix) Humanities and Social Sciences
Eligibility: For Engineering/Science: Depending on the area of research applicant must have M.E / M.Tech / M.S by Research in Engineering / 5-year integrated Masters/Dual Degree in engineering; M.Sc; B.S/B.E/B.Tech; B.S+M.S with mark/grade requirements. Applicant may also require qualifying in GATE/ UGC- NET/CSIR-NET/NBHM/ Inspire or equivalent qualification. For Humanities and Social Sciences applicant must have Master’s degree/dual-degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Applicant should have qualified in UGC–NET or JRF/CSIR-JRF/GATE score or equivalent qualification, or an international-level post graduate admission examination such as GRE.
M.S (Research) Programs are offered in the Departments of (i) Chemical Engineering (ii) Civil and Environmental Engineering (iii) Computer Science & Engineering (iv) Electrical Engineering (v) Mechanical Engineering.
Eligibility: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or a Master’s Degree (M.Sc / MCA etc.) in the relevant discipline and a valid GATE score in certain cases or Associate membership and have passed both part A and part B of the examination of professional bodies such as The Institution of Engineers (India) (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical and Electronics/Electronics and communications), The Institute of Electronics and Tele-Communication Engineering with a good academic record and valid GATE score.

Admissions are made under two categories: (i) Regular (Full-time scholars): The research scholars selected under regular registration will be eligible for assistantship through various schemes. Details of Financial Assistance are given at https://iittp.ac.in/admissions (ii) External: The applicants must be regular employees and have at least two years of work experience. They must be sponsored by and employed in an industry/organization/national laboratory, having R&D facilities and recognized by DST or by IIT Tirupati. Research scholars admitted under this category will normally carry out part or all of their research in the parent organization under supervision of a faculty from IIT
Tirupati and a co-supervisor employed in their parent organization.

Application fee is Rs.400/- (Rs. 200/- for Females and SC/ST and PwD candidates). The amount is to be paid online. A candidate can apply to a maximum of three departments.
