National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE-2023) for admission to the B.Sc. (Hospitality & Hotel Administration) Course at the Institutes of Hotel Management (IHM) affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHM&CT) for the Academic Year 2023-24.
The Three-Year (Six Semester) course equips students with all the required skills, knowledge and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the Hospitality sector. As per NEP 2020, there will be a 4th year option for the students to get an Honours Degree.
The program involves in-depth laboratory work for students to acquire required knowledge and skill standards in the operational areas of Food Production, Food & Beverage Service, Front Office Operation and House Keeping. It also provides managerial inputs in Hotel Accountancy, Food Safety & Quality, Human Resource Management, Facility Planning, Financial Management, Strategic Management, Tourism Marketing and Management.
Test Structure: NCHMJEE 2023 will be held as a Computer Based Test (CBT) from 9 am to 12 noon on 14th May, 2023 (Sunday). The examination will have 200 multiple choice questions from (i) Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude (30 questions) (ii) Reasoning and Logical Deduction (30) (iii) General Knowledge & Current Affairs (30) (iv) English Language (60) and (v) Aptitude for Service Sector (50). Each question carries 4 marks. For each incorrect response, 1 mark will be deducted from the total score.
Eligibility: Applicant should have passed 10+2 system of Senior Secondary Examination or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects, from a recognized Educational Board. Applicant must have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination.
Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in NCHM JEE 2023 provisionally subject to submission of proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) at the time of counselling or at the time of admission or latest by 30.09.2023.
Age Limit: There is no age restriction for appearing in NCHMJEE.
Physical Fitness: All qualified candidates will have to submit a physical fitness certificate as required in course at the time of admission from a Registered Medical Practitioner in the prescribed format.
Application: Online Applications can be submitted at https://nchmjee.nta.nic.in up to 5 pm on 27.04.2023.
Application fee is Rs. 1,000/- (Rs.700/- for Gen-EWS; Rs. 450/- for SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender. Application fee can be paid till 11.50 pm on 27.04.2023 using debit/credit cards or internet banking.
Correction in the Particulars of Application Form can be made Online during 28.04.2023 to 30.04.2023.
