Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Thiruvananthapuram, has invited applications for admission to the 2-Year MSc programs at the Schools of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics for the session starting in August 2023 (Varsha 2023 semester).
Eligibility: Applicant should have a 3 or 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Sciences/ Engineering/ Mathematics or other relevant disciplines with minimum 60% marks/CGPA of 6.5 in a 10-point scale (50%/CGPA of 5.5 for SC/ST and PwD). This eligibility criterion is common across all four disciplines.
Selection: Applicants will have to appear for an online, proctored screening test scheduled for May 13, 2023. The screening test will be held in English. The schedule for screening test of different subjects is given in the detailed Notification at http://appserv.iisertvm.ac.in/msc/
Those shortlisted based on their performance in the screening test will be selected through interviews scheduled between 10th and 20th June 2023. Number of Seats: There will be 20 seats available in each School for the 2-year MSc program. Selections will follow all reservation norms of the government of India.
Application: Applications can be submitted online at http://appserv.iisertvm.ac.in/msc/ latest by 30th April 2023. Application Fees is Rs 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST categories) to be paid online.
Those appearing in the final year Bachelor degree examination are also eligible to apply. However, if selected, their admission will be subjected to fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria for the individual school.
On submission of the online application form, the applicants will receive an acknowledgment email with an application number.
