Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Thiruvananthapuram, an Institution of National Importance, Dept of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, has invited applications for admission to MCh. (CVTS), PhD & MPhil Programmes for the academic session, July &August 2020.
MCh: For admission to the MCh Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery (CVTS), applicant should have MS in General Surgery or should be a Diplomate of the National Board in General Surgery or should hold any equivalent degree. Upper age Limit is 40 years (as on 1st July 2020 (Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, sponsored candidates and qualified Ex-service personnel with service duration not less than 5 years).
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD): Programme is offered in Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Bioengineering, Biomaterial Science and Technology, Health Sciences (Public Health), Medical Sciences. Eligibility depnds on the subject and is available in the Prospectus given at www.sctimst.ac.in. Applicants should be JRF holders of UGC/CSIR/ICMR/DBT or should hold MPhil (Biomedical Technology) degree of SCTIMST. Eligible internal faculty members who wish to register for the PhD program of the institute may also apply with no objection certificate. There is no age limit for admission to the PhD Program.
MPhil: For admission to Master of Philosophy in Biomedical Technology, applicant should be Post Graduates (MSc/MS/MTech/ME, etc.) in Biological/ Chemical/ Physical Sciences (including Polymer Sciences/Chemistry but excluding Plant Sciences and Bioinformatics) with minimum of 60% marks/equivalent CGPA. Upper age limit is 28 years as on 1st August 2020.

Application Fee is Rs. 1500/- for MCh (CVTS) (Rs. 1200/- for SC/ST); Rs. 1000/- for PhD (Rs. 800/-) and Rs. 500/- for MPhil (Rs. 400/-). Application fee can be remitted through debit card/credit card/net banking
