Lateral Entry in Polytechnic Colleges: Apply by August 17


Applications have been invited for admission to the Diploma Programmes in the Engineering/Technology stream, in Polytechnic Colleges under the Directorate of Technical Education Kerala through Lateral Entry.

The programme is of 4 Semesters from 3rd to the 6th over a period of 2 years. List of Polytechnic Colleges, branches and seat availability are given in the Annexure I at www.polyadmission.org/let

Eligibility: Applicant should be a citizen of India and native of Kerala or should have undergone the qualifying examination from an institution in Kerala State. Applicant should have passed +2/equivalent examination/VHSE with English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with minimum score of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics separately or passed 2 years matric courses of NCVT/SCVT/KGCE with minimum 50% of the aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

Seats: 10% of the approved intake in each programme during the academic year 2019-20 is considered for Lateral Entry in a programme. Of the above 10% of the total approved intake, 50% seat will be filled from +2/VHSE candidates and remaining 50% will be filled from candidates who have passed 2years courses of NCVT/SCVT/KGCE.

Application: Application can be submitted online at www.polyadmission.org/let latest by 17 August 2020. The prospectus can also be downloaded from this site. Those who have taken more than 2 chances to pass the qualifying examination are not eligible for admission through lateral entry. However, ‘SAY' or betterment Examination will not be considered as an additional chance. Those undergoing any Diploma Programme in a Polytechnic College or having a Diploma are not eligible to apply.
