Kozhikode: A group of students organised a protest against the Kerala government over Plus One admissions. The aspirants held a mock class in front of Koduvally bus stand in Kozhikode district.

“I applied to science courses in almost 25 schools. I did not get admission. My certificate says I am eligible for higher studies. I must get a seat,” a protestor told Mathrubhumi News.

Parents acted as teachers in the protest.

Students will be ousted from the system by October 21 when the supplementary allotment is released, a parent said. The protestors have also filed a complaint to MLA M K Muneer.

Several students who scored A+ in all subjects did not secure admission, another protestor said.

Reports suggest that many students could not secure a seat in the plus one allotments. However, the government keeps assuring that seats for all students are available.
