When the first allotment was published on Wednesday, around 38% of the seats to SC/ST reservations remained vacant. Also, one-third of the seats of economically weaker sections (EWCs) were also not filled

The vacancies in SC and ST reserved seats will be filled from other categories by the end of the admission process. However, it is not clear if the same will be done with EWS seats.
