NISER
National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar has invited applications from Indian citizens for admission to Integrated MSc-Ph.D program scheduled to commence in August, 2023 at Schools of Biological Sciences (SBS), Chemical Sciences (SCS), Mathematical Sciences (SMS) and Physical Sciences (SPS) of the institute.

Eligibility for admission and the Requirement of Qualifying in National Level Examinations for each school is as follows:
Biological Sciences: Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Biology/Life Sciences or any equivalent professional degree such as B.Pharm / B.V.Sc / B.Sc (Ag) / M.B.B.S / B.E. / B.Tech., with minimum 60% marks aggregate/6.0 CGPA and JAM 2023/GATE/CSIR-UGC NET JRF or equivalent.
Chemical Sciences: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Sciences or an equivalent degree with Chemistry as one of the main subjects with minimum 60% marks aggregate/6.0 CGPA. JAM 2023
Mathematical Sciences: Bachelor’s degree /equivalent degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate/equivalent GPA. JAM 2023, NBHM M.Sc/Ph.D. Scholarship written examination
Physical Sciences: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Sciences/equivalent degree with Physics as one of the major subjects or B.E/B.Tech with minimum 60% marks in aggregate/equivalent GPA. JAM 2023/JEST 2023
Those appearing in their Final Examination for Bachelor’s Degree can also apply, provided they submit an undertaking that they will submit the Qualifying degree certificates by the time of the Interview.
Selection process: Applicants will be shortlisted for test/interview based on marks/rank/score obtained in the national-level qualifying examination.
Short-listed candidates will be called for a test followed by an interview. Final selection will be based on academic record and the performance in Interview.
Application: Application is to be submitted online at the link at http://www.niser.ac.in latest by 30th April, 2023. The list of Short-listed candidates will be uploaded at the website during 5th to 16th May, 2023.
For School of Mathematical Sciences, online Application portal will re-open on 20th May, 2023 for students qualified in NBHM MSc/PhD written test 2023. The last date for filling up online application for them is 28th May, 2023. List of Short-listed candidates will be uploaded on 31st May, 2023.
