Institute of Physics, PO Sainik School, Bhubaneswar‐751005, an Autonomous Research Institute of Dept. of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India, has invited applications for admission to its regular Doctoral Programme in Physics (Ph.D) starting in August, 2022

The research activities in the Institute span theoretical and experimental research in the areas of Condensed Matter Physics, Nuclear Physics, High Energy Physics and interdisciplinary areas such as Quantum Information, Biological Physics, Complex Systems, Nano-Science and Materials Science, etc.

Eligibility: Applicants should be Indian Nationals having an M.Sc. in Physics with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate/equivalent cumulative CGPA. Applicant should have a valid CSIR-JRF / UGC-JRF fellowship or a valid GATE score with rank up to 200 or JEST - 2021 rank up to 250 (for Ph. D. only).

Those who have appeared for M.Sc. in 2022 and who satisfy the criteria mentioned above can apply. However, if selected, their admission will be provisional subject to satisfying the minimal criteria and submission of the M. Sc. certificate.

Application: Online applications can be submitted at latest by 30th June, 2022.

The selection will be based on offline interview to be conducted during 12th to 15th July, 2022. However, depending on the Covid-19 situation, the dates and/or the selection process may be modified.
