All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), an Autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India; Naimisham Campus, Manasagangothri, Mysuru - 570 006, has invited applications for admission to Bachelors and Masters Programs for 2023.
Programs and eligibility for admission are as follows:
Bachelor of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP): Applicant should have passed the 2-year Pre-University examination conducted by the Pre-University Board of the State of Karnataka or any other examination (10+2) considered as equivalent thereto by the University of Mysore. Applicant should have studied at least three subjects from among Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics / Computer Science / Statistics / Electronics / Psychology and secured a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in the PCMB group or combinations thereof.
Selection will be based on an all India entrance examination to be conducted by the All India Institute of Speech & Hearing. Questions will be from Physics, Chemistry Biology and Mathematics. Candidate has to answer questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics.
Stipend: Students admitted to BASLP program will be given a stipend of Rs. 800/- per month for 10 months in a year in the first 3 years. The stipend during their internship postings (4th year) will be Rs. 6,000/- per month for North-Eastern States and Rs. 5,000/- per month for Other States.
M.Sc. (Speech-Language Pathology); M.Sc. (Audiology): Applicant should have BASLP / B.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) degree from the University of Mysore or any other University / Institute considered as equivalent with not less than 50% marks/Equivalent CGPA. Selection will be based on entrance examinations.
Students admitted to these Programs will be given a stipend of Rs. 1,300/- per month for 10 months in a year.
