Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM), Jnana Bharathi Campus, P.O. Malathalli, Bengaluru 560056, an autonomous organization of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, has invited applications for admission to the AICTE-MHRD-Government of India approved Programmes for 2023-24.
Post Graduate Diploma In Management (PGDM) is offered in (i) Agribusiness and Plantation Management(PGDM-ABPM) (ii) Agricultural Export & Business Management (PGDM-AEBM); (iii) Food Processing and Business Management (PGDM-FPBM)
The other Programs are (i) Fellow Programme in Management (FPM–Ph.D) 2023-27 and (ii) Executive Professional Certificate Program in Agribusiness and Plantation Management (EPCP-ABPM) 2023 (Duration 11 Months)
PGDM-ABPM is NBA Accredited and approved as equivalent to MBA by AIU (Twinning Programme with Royal Agricultural University, UK)
PGDM-FPBM is conducted in Academic Collaboration with University of Wisconsin Madison, WI-USA, Twinning Program with N T U-UK (under approval stage).
Eligibility: PGDM-ABPM, AEBM, FPBM: Applicant must hold a valid Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% for SC/ ST and PWD category] from a recognized University or Institution.
For ABPM, preference will be given to Agriculture and Allied Sciences viz. Horticulture, Forestry, Sericulture, Post-Harvest Technology and other related disciplines.
For AEBM, Preference will be given to Agriculture and Allied Sciences viz. Horticulture, Forestry and Sericulture, Commerce/ EXIM and other related disciplines
For FPBM preference will be given to candidates with Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science/ Engineering, Nutrition, Fisheries, Home Science, Veterinary Science, Chemical Engineering, Animal Husbandry & Livestock, Dairy, Post-Harvest Technology, Biotechnology and other related disciplines.
Those who are appearing for final semester exam are also eligible to apply.
Applicants should also have a valid score in a national level examination- CAT/ MAT/ ATMA/ CMAT/ GATE/ XAT.
Those seeking admission have to take the IIPM’s Professional Aptitude Test (IPAT) examination scheduled to be held on 4th March 2023. It is compulsory and will be conducted online. The test consists of 70 questions from logical reasoning, general awareness, quantitative technique, language communication and agriculture related carrying maximum of 70 marks and will be of 60 minutes’ duration. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
FPM-Ph.D: Post-graduates in any discipline with at least 55% marks. Those with CA, ICWA and CS qualification and with valid CAT/ GMAT/UGC-CSIRJRF/ NET/ ICAR-NET are eligible for admission to FPM.
EPCP-ABPM: UG degree/diploma with minimum of 3 years/5 years of work experience. Special preference will be given for Professionals or entrepreneurs.
