A public interest litigation that prayed to enquire loss of Indian territory on the Indo-Chinese border was dismissed by the Supreme Court. The court said it is a matter to be dealt by the Union Government and the court cannot look into it.

The petitioner said that when border clashes occur, the Union government has a stance which is misleading. The citizens are kept in the dark without correct information.

Whether our territory is encroached or not, it is for the union government to look into it. The

court cannot be approached, the SC clarified.
