"Catch hold of this fake lawyer, his law degree is fake. Even the naked eyes can see that," the Madras HC then directed the police to investigate the serious crime.
While hearing a habeas corpus petition the court came across a person who claims to be a lawyer.
He was one of the respondents in the petition. He was S Babu, a lawyer.
During the course of arguments, the court could find out that his law degree was fake. The explanation he offered was unconvincing. The court then directed the police to initiate an inquiry.
The court observed that fake degrees have mushroomed.
"Such Persons shall not go scot-free. They have to be dealt with an iron hand," added the HC.
The court then directed the police to publish the photo of the fake lawyer so that the public can identify him.
There shall be a speedy investigation, directed the HC.
