By exchanging letters, teacher and students invent creative way to beat boredom during lockdown
Enadimangalam (Pathanamthitta): 'Yours lovingly Jaya Teacher' - This is the last line of the letters received by the students of Class 5 B of Amrita Girls School in Parakode here.
It is a soothing sentence for the kids for the past few months as it is the means of communication between the teacher and students during lockdown.
Now all children await for the letters from the teacher. Jaya teacher said that she thought of writing letters to her students as the lockdown was extended indefinitely and the students were unable to come back to school. This will help reduce the boredom and despair developed in children during the time of the pandemic.
The children also admitted that they feel relieved when they share their feelings with their beloved teacher. Jaya teacher writes the letters to her students from her residence in Ezhamkulam.
Through regularly writing letters, she intends to assess the learning process, develop language skills, give motivation and give relief from mental stress to her students.
