I'm not a misogynist; Ready to marry to change that: Rajith Kumar

How can a person like me, who lives for mother and the Mother India, be a misogynist? I am a person who believes that prosperity grows where women are respected and worshiped.

Dr Rajith Kumar started gaining attention after he made some controversial remarks on the dressing style of women. Recently, he was in news for controversies relating to the reality show Bigg Boss. However, Rajith Kumar seems to be not affected by any of these news and controversies. He opens up about his life and opinions. Read an excerpt of the interview here...

Have you felt that a team of women opposed you in Bigg Boss? Why are women attacking you?

Some people came there after hearing that I am a misogynist. Many presented me as a misogynist in channels and YouTube. They might have behaved to me with that prejudiced mindset. But I have never talked indecently to any women. How can a person like me, who lives for mother and Mother India, be a misogynist? I am a person who believes that prosperity grows when women are respected and worshiped.

It is heard that you are looking for marriage proposals now?

Let me tell you frankly. I really love women and girls. There was some reasons for why I did not want to get married and live with a family. I entered wedlock in 2001 with a lot of dreams. But we were not a good match. There are a lot of factors that make a relationship strong just like we fix two bricks with cement. But that was missing between us.

My wife became pregnant and had a miscarriage twice. As miscarriage happenned twice, I felt this cannot be right. I didn't feel like going ahead and spoiling the lives of both. Thus we got separated. Later, she remarried and had a baby. But she died at the time of delivery. I was blamed even then that I killed her. People still call me misogynist. Then I thought things will change if I marry a woman. So I am ready to marry.
